Дослідження присвячене теоретичному осмисленню сценічної бальної хореографії як явища сучасних видовищних мистецтв, відтворенню загальної картини сценічної бальної хореографії в її динаміці, виявленню стильових та жанрових особливостей, основних тенденцій розвитку. Розглянуто сценічну бальну хореографію крізь призму концепції видовища як візуальної естетики; проаналізовано специфіку сценічної бальної хореографії в екранних формах видовищ; досліджено особливості хореографії в телевізійних виступах в прямому ефірі та музичних кліпах; проаналізовано розвиток бальної хореографії в сценічних мистецько-видовищних формах (2000 – поч. 2020-х рр.); охарактеризовано форми освоєння естетики та презентації бального танцю театром танцю; простежено особливості розвитку сценічної бальної хореографії перших двох десятиліть ХХІ ст. в Україні. Ключові слова: сценічна бальна хореографія, бальний танець, видовищність, видовищні мистецтва, екранні мистецтва, театр танцю, телевізійні шоу.^UThe dissertation is devoted to the theoretical understanding of stage ballroom choreography as a manifestation of modern visual arts, the creation of a global picture of stage ballroom choreography in its dynamic, the revealing stylistic and genre features, the main trends of the development. Peculiarities of stage ballroom choreography as a phenomenon of the performing arts of the first two decades of the 21st century have been studied and theoretically substantiated.In the dissertation, for the first time in Ukrainian art studies, the peculiarity of the formation and regularity of the development of stage ballroom choreography, as a manifestation of performing art, has been comprehensively studied; the stage ballroom choreography was examined through the prism of the performing aesthetics; the specificity of the on screen stage ballroom choreography forms of the performing was revealed; the specifics of media choreography in television performances in live broadcasts and music videos were examined; the development of the ballroom choreography in stage performing forms was analyzed (2000– early 2020s); the form of mastering the aesthetics and presentation of ballroom dance on the stage of the dance theater was revealed; the specificities of the development of the stage ballroom choreography of the first decades of the 21st century in Ukraine were revealed.It has been proven that the American entertainment culture of the first decades of the 20th century and stage dance performance had an impact on the performing arts of Europe, which motivated the development of stage ballroom choreography in the field of mass culture. The periodization of the development of stage ballroom choreography in the 1910s-1950s is proposed. An author's typology of the types of the stage ballroom choreography is proposed, according to its representation in the system of performing arts: stage ballroom choreography in screen arts (television, cinema); stage ballroom choreography in the performing arts (theater of the dances, music-dramatic theater, variety show). In turn, each of these directions has its own ramifications according to the specifics of genres and formats of film and television art (the first type) and the features of the music, theater and pop scene (the second type).Features of show of the stage ballroom choreography is considered as a property that contributes to the adaptation of ballroom dance in modern sociocultural system. The spectacle of stage ballroom dancing is explained by the fact that choreographic art belongs to spatiotemporal types of art, in which the artistic image is characterized by bodily implement and duration in time and its affinity with theatrical art, which is based on the general principles of the structural and stylistic organization of artistic imagery.The forms of stage ballroom choreography in the performing arts are singled out and analyzed: choreographic performances of the theater of ballroom dances, musicals (music-theatrical scene); concert performances (independent choreographic projects, programs and numbers and additions to the performances of pop artists), casino shows, variety shows, nightclubs (pop scene).It has been found that in the domestic performing arts of the mid-2010s – early 2020s there is a tendency of a deep modern reading of ballroom dance, a rethinking of the dancer's performance capabilities, and a search for new sensuality. A characteristic feature of stage ballroom choreography is eclecticism, since many dance numbers and programs use elements not only of various social and sport ballroom dances, but also diverse styles (modern and classical). The destruction of the originality of pure genres, the synthesis and emergence of the so-called universal genre coverage determines the general cultural prerequisite for the establishment of a stage ballroom dance of a new formation.Keywords: stage ballroom choreography, ballroom dance, spectacle, performing arts, screen arts, dance theater, television shows.
